Sun, Air and Water - Our Best Friends

Installation draws from a fragment of a Soviet-era kindergarten mosaic in Tashkent, originally bearing the same title. Through hand-stitched linen, reclaimed fabrics, and processes of iron oxidation, the image is gradually transformed rather than preserved. Its elements are dispersed into soft sculptural forms, shifting from an architectural image into objects that inhabit the space of play and can be encountered through the body.

Moving between the gallery and the playground by relocating elements of a former architecture of childhood into contemporary spaces of play. It reflects on feeling of home as something shaped not only with domestic walls, but through the wider environments that structure care, belonging, and everyday. Processes of fading, erosion and material change introduce another dimension of time, allowing the original image to persist not as a preserved memory, but as something continually altered through its new surroundings.
